Services at St George’s take various forms. Services are not always led by the Minister, we also have guest speakers from the various charities and organisations we support. Sometimes, someone from the Church will lead the service.
We have a mixture of styles of music from the traditional hymns with a modern twist, to modern choruses and songs specially written with children in mind.
Typically a normal Church service would generally follow this format...but not always
Blessing & then walk through to meet for coffee/tea in the Hall
We have some very talented musicians within our fellowship and it is always great to see them involved. All our regular musicians (Drums, Keyboard, Guitar, etc) and singers help in making our Sunday services family orientated. We always welcome new musicians of any age, you don't even need to be that good - we can help develop your musical skills...please come along you will be made very welcome.
Sometimes our Church Services can use other formats: -
Special Invitation Services. These services offer the opportunity to invite other family members, neighbours, work colleagues along to the church. They are specifically aimed at people who don't normally attend a church, but might be curious to find out what goes on.
Songs of Praise & Praise Services. From time to time over the year we have a chance for people to chose their favourite hymn or song and share their reasons why this song is their favourite.
Youth Celebration Services. These are held about 4 times a year and are all-age services, involving the children and young people within the service and to which their families are invited.
Remembrance Sunday:Prayers for peace and reconciliation.
